If necessary, contact your System Administrator or computer manufacturer to verify which type of Ethernet cable is needed. The Ethernet cable is not included in the Xerox Wireless Network Interface Kit.
Additionally, some computers can use an RJ45 (Category 5) non-crossover Ethernet cable to connect directly to the printer. NOTE: If the printer cannot be connected to a Wired Ethernet connection that is a part of the Wireless Network, an RJ45 (Category 5) crossover Ethernet cable must be used with most computers to connect the printer directly to a computer in order to access CentreWare Internet Services and configure the wireless settings for the printer. Verify that the printer's rear USB port has been enabled (CenterWare Internet Services, click on Properties >Security >Certificates >USB Port Security >Enable Rear USB Ports).To have connected the printer (via a Wired Ethernet connection) to your Wireless network so that the Wireless settings can be configured within the printer's web interface (CentreWare Internet Services).To have connected the Wireless USB Interface to the printer's rear USB port.NOTE: The kit contains a USB cable along with the Wireless USB Interface, which is the size of a small USB Flash Drive.
